Happy World Cup to all who celebrate!
As a member of a split USA/England household I have been forced to learn about soccer this year. It’s been great to see both our teams doing well, although I still don’t understand why they won’t stop the clock between quarters.
Also I don’t understand why there is so much hype around this Ronaldo guy, he seems like the worst player on the team? Anyway, it looks like the USA has a good shot at winning this year despite soccer being a tier 2 sport here.
Ok, that’s enough Euro bait for now! There’s not a ton of news (as usual) but let’s do it.
YourGrails Continues to Roll
Our guest writer Smudge touched on YourGrails last week but it’s still one of the top stories of the chain as volume continues to climb.
As he would say, I am a “Poke-person” although I am not a card collector. Personally I don’t have a ton of interest in these types of platforms—they seem like NFT lotteries with extra steps and we know how those turned out. I am sidelined in this Pokemon meta! I hope you guys get rich.
Bias aside, the site undeniably works well and scratches an itch for many people. I tried it out and everything seemed to work smoothly, I even lost a battle or two.
In these dark times where people are just looking for buttons to click, we could do a lot worse than a lottery with Pokemon as prizes. Shoutout the team for delivering a great product!
From what I can tell the site has spent a lot of time sold out (sorry, NOT sold out, they just ran out of inventory for packs. But NOT sold out) so that has to mean that it’s doing really well.
Hotemin Trials??
Nobs has leaked some more info on what is coming down the Hot Emin pipeline and people are getting excited! I don’t know what the timeline on this is but we must remain patient, fellow market participants.
It sounds like Nobs has learned a lot from the previous presale meta and this won’t be as straightforward a process. It’s been a year and a half since KET launched, so it makes sense that it’s time for a new meta. A trials meta?
It looks like there will be multiple (three?) ways to get involved, and they’ll all require something different of us. Some trials will benefit people with large social followings, some trials will benefit those with skill, and some trials will be for the common man (or woman).
That’s all I’ve got for this week!
Not a ton going on in AVAX-land these days, I’m beginning to lose some momentum on these. I had a whole “MegaETH Postmortem” section reflecting on where I think that went wrong, but I cut it because it didn’t seem interesting enough.
Maybe we will do another Lore history article soon? Maybe some Labs employees can say some inflammatory shit this week? Most of our previous offenders are no longer with the company unfortunately.
I have one more week before AVAX Bingo is done, so that seems like a good time to break until things pick up again.

It’s a big week for World Cup though! Huge USA game today against Australia and then I’ll be going to the England vs Ghana game next week!
Here’s to hoping the lads can put together 4 solid quarters of soccer and not come away with a disgusting tie.
